Using Pinterest for Business

Do you use Pinterest  to help build your business?  I am experimenting with it myself.  I find Pinterest to be very fun, but it can also be very beneficial.
Ninety percent of the information transmitted to our brains is visual.  This is a big plus when it comes to using Pinterest, being that this platform mostly deals with images.
More than twice as many people buy from Pinterest than Facebook.  The average order value of a products purchased on Pinterst is $179.36, compared with $80.22 on Facebook and $68.78 on Twitter.  As you can see Pinterest can be a profitable tool.
70% of people visit Pinterst for inspiration compared with 17% on Facebook.  80% of pinners buy within 3 weeks of a products being pinned, and 85% of the content shared on Pinterest comes from users instead of brands.

As you can see, having a Pinterest business page is a good idea.  Make your page professional.  Optimize it by using keywords in the username, about section and board title.  Fill your boards with engaging original content.
The most popular types of pins are:
Infographics
Teasers
Checklist
Tutorials
Videos

Do's and Don'ts of Pinterest

Do's
Create tall pins with lots of pictures
Use compelling headlines
Use thirty or more terms for keyword targeting
Include a call to action

Don'ts
Design ugly ads
Waste caption space
Pay for traffic without a strategy

I know that this is very brief, but I hope that it helps you increase your engagement on Pinterest.  As with anything consistency is the key, and remember that inspiration sells.

Marketing and Sales tips for 2016

I hope that these tips help you increase revenue, success and build a strong customer base in 2016!

BRANDING
You have to keep your personal brand alive.  Make sure that your website represents you and your company the way that you want to be seen.  You also need to maintain a strong social media presence.  Social media is an invaluable tool for networking.  Also, make sure that your message is the same throughout your company website and social media sites.  Try to keep the design elements consistent on each platform.

Don’t just rely on social media and the internet though.  It is important to keep your presence alive in traditional media such as interviews and newspaper articles also.  Remember that branding is about making sure that the world knows who you are and what you have to offer, as well as what sets you apart from the competition.  This is an ongoing effort that never stops.

SELLING
Sell yourself.  Selling is not always about your product or service.  Just think about it, there are probably hundreds or maybe even thousands of people offering the same product or service that you are offering.  You have to make buyers want to do business with you instead of the competition.  Market yourself by dressing for success and having confidence and charisma.  You should also make your prospect feel comfortable.  People will not buy from you if they do not like and trust you.
Listening is also very important.  Just by listening, you can gather all the information that you need to close the deal.  You can ask questions without asking by learning how to open up the dialogue and listening.  Listening also help you learn what is important to you prospects.  This way you will create value, need and solutions for your customers.

I hope that this little bit of information helps you in your business, and I wish you much success in 2016 and the years to come!

Social Media Advertising Tips

Social media can be a great advertising tool. It allows to you get your message out to thousands of people very quickly. However, there is more to successful social media advertising than setting up accounts and posting ads. It is important that you create content that results in sales.

1. Establish Relationships
- This may be the most important tip. I know that you want to advertise, but do not make the mistake of posting your advertisements without adding any conversation. Engage in two-sided conversations with your followers. This helps you build trust which in turn builds a strong customer base.

2. Post Regularly
- Advertising your business here and there will not get you the results that you need in order to be successful. Most people need to see something several times before they decide to look into it. However, you do not want to overwhelm your followers by posting too much. You should limit your advertising to three to five times a day.

3. Write Great Content
- Post content that engages your followers. If you post exciting and useful content, your followers are more likely to share it with their followers. This is great exposure for your business. Word of mouth advertising is very powerful. People will look for your future posts if you establish a reputation for sharing great content.

4. Avoid Forcing Customers
- Your posts should talk with your customers and not at them. When you post forceful content, most people see it as a sales pitch and automatically tune it out. Give more detail about your products or services than the price and website to buy it. You should also provide incentives so that your customers feel that they are getting a good deal.

5. Consistency
- Keep a consistent message on all of your social media accounts. This avoids sending mixed messages and inaccurate advertisements. It is a good idea to use an app that allows you to integrate your blog and social media accounts. This way you can be certain that they all have the same information.

"What is your reason for looking into working for yourself?

I have been thinking about the reasons that I am pursuing working for myself a lot lately.  I currently work two part time jobs outside of the home.  I work from 7:30 am until 12 pm on Monday through Thursday and 7:30 am until 2 pm on Friday in the computer lab at the college that I attend.  I also work from 3 pm until 8 pm at a distribution center that manufactures products for GNC.  As I mentioned before, I also attend school part time.

Right now I need both of these jobs just to make ends meet.  I have missed out on so much time with my kids over the years, because I have always had to work.  My kids are now 17 and 12.  My daughter only has one year of high school left, and then she will be leaving home for college.  Even though I have always tried to be an active parent, work has caused me to miss out on a lot of things over the past 17 years.

My main reason for working so hard to build a home based business for myself is the ability to be there for my kids more.  When I build my online income enough to supplement my computer lab job, I am going to quit my second job.

I would like to have more time for my kids and future grand kids in the future than I have in the past.  I also got engaged on Valentine's Day and would like to have time to enjoy life with my partner.

These are the things that motivate me to keep going when I get discouraged.  I hope that all of you reading this will think about the reasons that you started your own businesses whenever things get hard.

Work at home. NO fees.

Tips for saving time in the morning

Here are a few tips and shortcuts that can help you get out the door a little earlier in the mornings.

* Try a wrinkle releaser instead o ironing, or iron at night.
* Make a to do list each night for the next day.  This could also help you sleep better, because you will go to bed with less on your  mind.

* Go ahead and pick your outfit for the following day the night before.

* Know what the weather is going to be like the next day.  This will help you choose your outfit for the day.

* Another good idea is to have your outfits planned for the whole week.  You can label your hangers with the days of the week to keep your outfits organized.

* Prepare lunch for your kids and yourself ahead of time.  Eating a lunch that is prepared at home will not only save you time but it will also save you money.

* Drink a glass of water as soon as you wake up.  This will boost your energy and help your body wake up.

* Go to bed at the same time each night.  You tend to rest better when you follow a routine.  Better sleep can be better than more sleep.

* If you workout in the mornings, go to sleep in your workout clothes.

* Brush your teeth in the shower.

* Set your coffee maker to start brewing 10 minutes before your alarm goes off.

* Place your keys on top of anything that you don't want to forget in the morning.

* Avoid hitting the "snooze" button. If you drift back off to sleep, you will restart your brain's sleep cycle.  This will cause you to be even groggier when you get out of bed.

Along with these tips, our Thrive product line will help you get your day off to a great start and help you feel better all day by putting your body at it's peak physical and mental level.  It's quick and easy.  Just take 2 capsules on an empty stomach as soon as you wake up, followed by the shake mix about 40 mins later & apply the DFT patch before you walk out the door. It's simple as 1-2-3.  Contact me for more info, samples or to get started. Click here to find out more about the Thrive 8 wk Experience!

Ways to Increase Energy

Here are ways that you can give yourself a boost of energy while working.

1. Wash your face.  The feel of cold water on your skin can revitalize you.  Washing your hands and face can have a wake up effect if you start to feel tired.  A mid day shower may also help.

2. Drink cold fluids throughout the day.  It is recommended that you drink six to eight glasses of water day for health reasons.  Cold liquids have an immediate, refreshing effect.

3. Go to bed an hour earlier.  An extra hour of sleep will cause you to have an increased energy level the next morning.  Instead of sitting around, killing time, turn off the lights and go to bed.

4. Stay away from alcohol during the workday.  Alcohol can make you drowsy.  When having business lunches, order iced tea instead of a cocktail or wine.

5. Eat breakfast.  Even a light snack can help revitalize you.

6. Don't eat big meals in the middle of the day.  Big meals make you sleepy.  Try breaking your meals down into five or six small meals instead of eating two or three big meals.

7. Exercise.  Workout for at least half an hour a day at least three days a week.  It could be walking, jogging on a treadmill, or riding a bike.  Any moderate exercise program will help.

8. Take a cat nap.  Try taking a 15 to 20 minute nap.  Don't sleep for longer than 20 minutes.  Anything more than 20 minutes will cause you to be groggy for the remainder of the day.  This is especially beneficial if you did not get enough sleep the night before.  But don't nap too late in the day.  This can make it hard for you to go to sleep at bedtime.

9. Take a multivitamin.  This way you will always know that you basic minimum daily nutrition requirements have been taken care of.  We have a wonderful product line at http://hdavis.le-vel.com/shop

I hope that these 9 tips will help you revitalize your body and mind.

I've started an online Boutique called Diva Style. I'm enjoying customizing my Boutique, filling it with products, and writing reviews. The cool thing is, I'm actually earning money in the process! In fact, I make up to 25% on every sale.

The transactions are all online so all I have to do is pick the pieces I think my friends will love. My website does the marketing and shipping for me. It's totally flexible, so it fits into my busy schedule.

I think this would be a great opportunity for you, too. It's completely free to sign up. Check it out at http://divvastyle.kitsylane.com/offer

Beautiful Skin

I have been using Beauty Society products for a little over 2 weeks now.  I LOVE them.  I have been blessed enough to not have any problems with my skin other than occasional dryness around my nose. For this reason, I have never felt that I needed to do anything to my skin other than washing my face and sometimes applying a moisturizer.  I was so wrong.

Even though I don't have problem skin, I have still noticed a difference since starting to use Beauty Society skincare products.  My skin actually looks younger.  I never really noticed that my skin had started to show signs of aging gradually over the years.  I don't have any major issues when it comes to my skin aging, but not my skin actually looks as youthful as it did ten years ago.

I am a dark skinned woman, and now my skin tone and complexion look smoother and brighter.  I am lucky to have found this product line.  The products are sulfate and paraben free.  They also have a one year skincare guarantee.  Love it, or return it and get your money back.

Beauty Society is also the only skincare line that has a refill program called Treasure not Trash.  You can save money on the products that you love by ordering refills at a 15 - 30% discount.  Just keep your original bottles and refill them.

I am proud to be a Beauty Society Dive and represent such a great company with great products.  Find out more at Diva Style

Do you build your business using social media?

There are so many opportunities to get your business and yourself in front of millions of people using social media.  I have been using it for a while, but I have not been doing enough to be successful with it.  I sometimes have to remind myself that it is not just about blasting my ads to people.  Relationships and rapport building are more important.
I use Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest and of course IBO to promote my opportunites.  I am trying to build my network and brand myself as a leader.  Some of the daily actions that I am going to start focusing on are:

1. Post atleast onces a day.  2-3 times is better.
2. Provide value and inspiration.
3. Be someone who people want to follow.
4. Promote my business without posting ads.  This can be done by just updating my status letting people know what I am doing and how much flexibility I have working at home.
5. Share personal pictures and videos as well as inspirational videos and quotes.
6. Be social.

Just doing these small things will help me to improve my visibility and brand myself.  I have been networking and connecting with some great people since I realized how important relationship building is.  I also share and promote other people's opportunities. When I give back and pay it forward, other people often return the favor.

These are just a few of the things that I am going to try when building my business on social media.  I am still learning and would welcome any advice, tips or suggestions from other.

Happy Sunday

Helen
